The Shadow Toa are beings that serve Rotam and his Empire of Darkness.
History[]
Shadow Play[]
After Rotam defeated the Glatorian and Agori at the Battle of Atero, Rotam rose his empire and settled Roxtus as the capital of it. The villagers of Bara Magna were placed as slaves to work in the factories, and Rotam soon conquered the whole surface of Bara Magna, only allowing the Sand Tribe; led by the Vorox Teridax, to be free. As he wanted to start conquering the galaxy, he envisioned the Shadow Toa, beings that would make sure that his law was correctly enforced. Rotam created them as beings of Shadows, gifted with mental abilities. Rotam named them Shadow Toa, as a tribute to the illusions that Teridax once created. The Shadow Toa were very efficient in their task, as no rebellion sprung in the first thousand years of Rotam's regin. However, most Shadow Toa were assigned as warriors to conquer new planets when Rotam discovered a source of energized Protodermis and began to create Rahkshi. Some of the Shadow Toa stayed at Bara Magna, as personal bodyguards of Rotam or guarding important places, like the Slave Camp at Vulcanus.

Shadow Toa have a wide range of Psionic powers, as well as the elemental power of Shadow. With the Psionic powers they can do mind reading, deliber mental blasts, create illusions, control the emotions of their target and many other things. Due to their mental abilities they don't talk, as they communicate telepathically.
